The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit (CAC-LMJC) is a child friendly home that assists in the centralized activities of all agencies involved in the intervention and prevention of child abuse. We offer support for physical and emotional safety of children and their non-offending caregivers, while facilitating joint investigations conducted by specially trained professionals.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Becomes an Affiliate Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse Georgia
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit (CAC-LMJC) has recently become the newest Prevent Child Abuse Georgia (PCA Georgia) local council for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit which includes Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade and Walker counties.
In their new additional role as Prevent Child Abuse Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, they will work to expand current programs to bolster child abuse and neglect prevention efforts and awareness in the community. They will also direct local resources that support families into PCA Georgia’s statewide resource helpline, 1-800-CHILDREN (244-5373). Parents or caregivers can talk to trained professionals who can help connect them with local supportive programs in Chattooga, Dade, Catoosa, Walker and beyond. Their resources will also be available to search by location through an interactive resource map at www.PCAGeorgiaHelpline.org.
PCA Georgia is housed in the Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development at Georgia State University. PCA Georgia, a state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, and provides statewide direction to prevent child abuse and neglect, promote healthy child development, and develop strong families through its prevention network, public awareness, prevention programs, and advocacy.
